A Heritage Field Watch
The field watches of the 1940s were tools of necessity.
The British Ministry of Defense approached a group of 12 neutral Swiss watchmakers during WWII to build standard military-spec field watches that were utilitarian – accurate, durable and subtle.
In the Pathfinder, we reworked the 1940s field watch – retaining the spirit of rugged utility influenced by modern materials, manufacturing tech and our design ideas.
Reworked For Today
We wanted to maintain the characteristics of a field watch in that day, and upgrade it with features to suit modern lifestyles.
The sand-textured dial and flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating reduces dial reflection.
Indices are applied with either polished silver (Black, Slate Grey, Copper, Crimson) or gunmetal linings (Polar, Salmon). A generous yet uniform coat of Swiss Super-LumiNova C3X1 pigments are applied on the hands and dial markings.
Our custom-designed fully brushed stainless steel 5 link bracelet is optimized for comfort and maneuverability.
